Meteora, Greece
Monastery of the Holy Trinity at Meteora in Greece

I’m a part-time writer living near London with my wife and dog. And with such a busy life style it’s hard to find time to write, but I manage to get pen to paper usually late in the evenings.

Like all writers I was born with a vivid imagination and a desire to create. My main inspiration has come from reading Tolkien and other fantasy authors such as David Eddings, Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, Terry Brooks and many more....

In my full-time career, I have been lucky enough to work abroad in New Zealand, Canada, Thailand and all over Europe. And whilst abroad I have visited many different places and met many different people, some good and some bad – which has led to certain ‘colourful’ characters in my books.

I write in the style of High Fantasy and enjoy spending a great deal of time generating detailed fight scenes and complex rules for magic use, generation and spell component making.

I started putting my first book together back in 2001 and since then it has grown from one into a series. The main spark for my story was generated after seeing a picture of the Monastery of the Holy Trinity at Meteora in Greece. The monastery sits on a high isolated rocky precipice, and I thought this was the perfect place for a stronghold and the centre piece for a story.

After twenty years my first book is finished and published on Amazon Kindle. The second book in the series is in draft and waiting to be finished.
